A total of KRW 2,021,160 million (Government expenditure KRW 1.21 trillion, local government KRW 99.9 billion) has been invested into Emissions Reduction Program. Emissions have been cut down from a total of 820,000 vehicles by spending the government expenditures of KRW 1,140.6 billion. The vehicles in metropolitan areas accounted for about 96% of total vehicles in Korea.
As a result, about 817,148 vehicles in metropolitan area have taken the emissions measures so the achievement compared to plan was estimated at about 97%. The most vehicles, about 34% of vehicles installed a reducer, followed by early scrapping (25%) and LPG engine calibration (23%).
